My work intuitively responds to colour, light and space, translating impressions from my surroundings into abstract and semi-abstract compositions. I paint with freedom and loose intention, allowing space for the unexpected.

Working seasonally shapes my practice. In summer I paint outdoors on a larger scale, often allowing the elements to become collaborators. During the colder winter months I work indoors on semi-abstract still life paintings in oils, exploring light, form and composition through everyday objects.

Since relocating to Wales, the changing countryside and seascape have become a constant source of inspiration, nurturing my work with a sense of exploration and connection.
