Menna Jones is a contemporary welsh artist & designer, whose jewellery & screen print creations, reflect a deep connection to her environment and artistic heritage. Her educational journey began with an Art Foundation course in Swansea, which laid the groundwork for her exploration of various mediums. She then specialised in Architectural Stained Glass before pursuing a part-time Silversmithing course at Gower College. This diverse training culminated in a Higher National Diploma in Jewellery and Silversmithing, followed by a top-up year in Design for Industry at the esteemed School of Jewellery in Birmingham. This comprehensive program is tailored to prepare students for competitive design careers by fostering skill development across specialised areas.

One of Menna’s notable achievements came in 2018 when she was selected to design the medals for the International Association of Athletics Federation's (IAAF) World Indoor Athletics Championships in Birmingham. Her designs artfully incorporated aspects of the city’s architectural heritage, exemplifying her ability to blend architecture with innovative jewellery design. The production of these medals was undertaken by Fattorini, a well-regarded firm in Birmingham’s Jewellery Quarter known for its craftsmanship in trophy making.
