I began training in warm or fused glass in 2018 at the Cheshire School of Glass under Jennifer Barker. I attended a number of courses and benefitted from one-to-one sessions where I explored my creative ideas. I then spent time learning new techniques with Brian Duffy of North Wales Creative Glass Studios, again attending specific courses and then investing in one-to-one sessions. I continue to develop my skills and experience though ongoing learning. I attended a bespoke course with Warm Glass in Wrington covering both how to teach fused glass and using frits and powders in art works. More recently I have attended “Masterclasses” with Bob Leatherbarrow, Amanda Simmons and Morgan Madison covering various techniques.

During the last year, I expanded the number of small, hand-on workshops I led with clients, some beginners and increasingly those who come back to develop their skills with more ambitious projects. The six-week evening course was a particular hit! I continue to work collaboratively with individual clients, developing commissions with them and co creating with them. Working alongside clients, we have created art pieces, mirror frames, food serving platters, glass splash-backs, coasters and art bowls. I am a member of the Contemporary Glass Society.
