Wild Plant Paper is a collective founded by Bryan Collis. Bryan started making paper 10 years ago with a vision that combines a love for nature, thinking about how we use resources, the wellbeing benefits of being creative in the open air and a sense of social justice for people with learning disabilities and who are neurodivergent. We make paper from plants and materials we find around Swansea: recycling paper and paper cups, grass strimmings, nettles, daffodils, banana stems, forget-me-nots, willow bark, tree leaves. We use these different pulps and dried flowers, leaves, lichens and seaweed to make works of art and as a basis for printing, drawing, painting, embroidery, cards and notebooks and 3D items.
